Exporting files - Still images
Exporting still images is very easy with Premiere. This is an
especially good way to move a screen-grab onto the web or into a
paper.
- Prepare your clip for export
- Use the editing tools to choose the
frame you want to grab. Once you've done that, make sure the "cursor"
(a vertical line in the timeline) is on the frame you want--that frame
will appear in the target screen of the Monitor window. Be sure and
save your project.
Now, begin the export process by clicking the following sequence:
File
Export
Frame...
- Set export configurations
- After you choose a name for the frame you are going to export,
click the "Settings" button to set the format of your output. Below
is an explanation of the different options you will have. See our examples page to see how these settings can
change the quality of your image.
General Settings
- File Type: gif -- This is best web-friendly option.
Video Settings
- Frame Size -- Depending on what your image is, you may be able to reduce your frame size without trouble. Doing so will help keep file size down.
- Export your frame
- Once you've made your selections, click "ok" and your frame will
appear on the desktop and save in your directory. Use fetch to transfer your files to the file
system and your frame is on the network.
As you can see, there are far fewer options for exporting a single
frame. On the plus side, a single frame will always export at 100%
quality.
